Elementa Support Services is partnering with welcoming Welsh-medium primary schools across Cardiff to recruit enthusiastic and dedicated Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistants.

What you'll be doing
No two days are the same, but you'll be:

Supporting pupils across the classroom to engage with their learning
-
Working 1:1 and with small groups to boost confidence and achievement

Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
-
Supporting pupils with ALN/SEND to access learning and reach their potential
-
Encouraging positive behaviour and helping to create a safe, nurturing learning environment
-
Preparing classroom resources and supporting day-to-day classroom activities
-
Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
-
Playing an active role in the wider life of the school
What we're looking for
You'll ideally have:
-
Fluent spoken and written Welsh (essential)
-
Experience working with children in a school or similar educational setting
-
A caring, patient and positive approach
-
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
-
The ability to adapt to different classrooms and pupils' needs
-
A genuine passion for helping children succeed
Essential requirements
To work in this role you must:
-
Be fluent in Welsh – this is an essential requirement
-
Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one
-
Be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC), or be willing to register before starting work
-
Have the right to work in the UK
-
Have recent experience working in UK schools or with children in an educational setting
