Elementa Support Services is working in partnership with supportive and forward-thinking secondary schools to recruit enthusiastic and talented Teachers of Music who can deliver engaging, dynamic lessons across the curriculum. This role offers the opportunity to inspire students through performance, composition, and appreciation of music while fostering a lifelong love of the subject within a positive learning environment.
About the Role
As a Teacher of Music, you will:
• Plan and deliver engaging Music lessons in line with the national curriculum
• Teach practical and theoretical aspects of music across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable where applicable)
• Encourage students to develop their performance, composition, and listening skills
• Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress effectively
• Promote safeguarding, wellbeing, and positive behaviour at all times
• Support and contribute to extracurricular music activities, performances, and school productions where appropriate
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the wider school community
What We're Looking For
To be considered, candidates must have:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply (Elementa can assist)
• Experience teaching Music at secondary level (including placements)
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
Desirable:
• Experience teaching across KS3 and KS4
• Experience leading or supporting choirs, ensembles, bands, or school productions
• Ability to teach Music Technology or GCSE/A-Level Music
• A reflective and adaptable teaching approach
