Our client provides education to students aged 4 - 16. Learning is delivered with a balanced & rounded approach of academic, pastoral & spiritual development. The school opened its doors in 2019 and are now operating their 3rd academic year. They form part of the South West hub delivered by a large, forward-thinking academy trust. This is a school that has steadily shown improvement through student attainment and staff development since its' inception.
This role of delivering MFL is now available due to increasing school numbers and to support future development & expansion plans. Therefore this is an ideal role for teachers from many backgrounds; whether at the beginning of their career or more experienced in similar roles.
Currently, French is delivered to students at the school, from year 3 (8 years old) up to year 11. The school follow the AQA curriculum for the current GCSE syllabus. There is only one teaching role for languages at the school. However, as a project, the plan is to bring on Spanish as a languages subject offering from September 2022 and therefore expand the team of languages teachers. You should be confident in your ability to develop and implement a whole-school Spanish curriculum ready for the new academic year. This is a key role to appoint for and the focus during the selection process will be for outstanding teaching skills above all. Introducing Spanish as a new language to be taught isn't definite, only if the appointed candidate has the skills, ability & drive to move the project forward.
This role is absolutely open to teachers at all stages in their careers. Early Careers Teachers of Fully Qualified Teachers can be considered provided that you are able to demonstrate outstanding teaching skills. For ECT, induction will be fully supported via Ambition Institution and a mentor also provided. This is an appealing role for someone able to demonstrate tenacity, drive and ambition.

Essential criteria:
- QTS or QTLS
- MFL specialist with proven experience of teaching French & Spanish
- Able to commit to the permanent contract

- Experience of having worked with Primary & Secondary aged students

The school is recruiting for someone to join the team on a permanent basis and is open to the approach in engaging the successful applicant. This could be via Elementa trial contract (12 weeks / 60 days trial) or directly on a permanent contract from the outset. Either way, the salary would be at the agreed permanent equivalent from the outset.
