About the role
Elementa Wales is seeking a qualified English teacher who can inspire pupils through language and literature to work with schools across Rhondda Cynon Taf (RCT). This is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact while enjoying flexible work.
In this role, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging English lessons, assessing progress and creating an inclusive classroom environment, ensuring pupils receive high-quality learning and support.
Key responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging English lessons in line with the relevant curriculum.
Teach language and literature across the required key stages.
Assess pupil progress and provide clear, constructive feedback.
Manage classroom behaviour and contribute positively to school life.
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Strong subject knowledge and experience teaching English in a secondary school setting.
Effective classroom management, communication and organisational skills.
A positive, flexible and professional approach.
Desirable:
Experience supporting pupils with a range of learning needs or examination preparation. (beneficial but not essential).
