Our client is a successful multi-academy trust which specialise in running special schools for children that have a wide range of special education needs (SEND.) The schools are based in and around the Swindon area and each school provides specialist education & support to meet the needs of the particular childs' SEND. The trust is currently recruiting for a wide-range of teacher/teaching roles across all of their sites to work with children that have different needs with varying responsibilities and grades and we're inviting applications from suitably qualified and/or experienced individuals.
Ideally we seek people with previous qualifications & work experience specific to an SEND setting however, if you have a teaching qualification and some experience working with children that have special education needs (SEND) specifically, perhaps support / care work, youth work, outdoor activities or perhaps via the scout association, we'd be interested to hear from you too. The ideal person will have a pro-active and engaging manner with children and work collaboratively with other class teachers and support staff.
It would be great to hear from you if you have…
- Experience of working with primary / secondary-aged children
- previous SEND experience
- Experience of working with children who have had to overcome barriers and difficult situations
- The ability to engage parents in supporting children at home
- The desire to go through training and deliver ideas so that ideas can be implemented.
- Passionate about working with young people in education
- Are committed to safeguarding young people and helping them overcome difficulties
- Are committed to ensuring students maximise every opportunity to achieve academically and personally
- Are able to work within a dynamic and challenging environment
- Have excellent communication and teamwork skills
