SEND Humanities Teacher Location: Bridgwater Pay: £168.00 – £261.00 per day Type: Maternity Cover Contract Hours: Full-time Start date: September 2026 About the Candidate The ideal candidate will possess: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Experience teaching History across Key Stages 3 and 4. Ideally, experience working within a Special Educational Needs (SEN) setting, or a genuine willingness to support pupils with a range of additional needs. A nurturing, patient, and inclusive approach to teaching, with the ability to build positive relationships and foster pupil confidence. Strong classroom and behaviour management skills, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs and ensure all pupils can access the curriculum. The ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated History lessons that inspire and support learners of varying abilities. Excellent communication, collaboration, and organisational skills, working effectively with colleagues, support staff, families, and external professionals to achieve the best outcomes for pupils. Availability to work full-time from as soon as possible, with flexibility to provide cover through October half term and potentially until Christmas.
