Elementa Support Services is excited to announce an opportunity for a talented and dedicated Science Teacher with a SEND background, for a specialist provision in the Kingswood area. We are seeking an individual who is passionate about teaching science and has the expertise to support students with special educational needs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspirational science lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of students with SEND. You will work collaboratively with a team of educators to create an inclusive learning environment and adapt teaching strategies to ensure every student can achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality science lessons that are differentiated to meet the individual needs of students.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages students to engage with the subject matter.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their learning and development.
- Work closely with support staff and external specialists to implement effective strategies for students with SEND.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and contribute to the overall improvement of the SEND program.
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) with a strong background in science.
- Experience working with students with special educational needs, particularly in a SEND setting.
- A proven ability to adapt teaching methods to cater to a range of learning styles and abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with best practices in SEND education.
Contract & recruitment information
