Our client is a very successful secondary school, delivering high-quality teaching & learning to students across Key Stages 3.& 4. Elementa are supporting the school to recruit an able and caring specialist Science Teacher. This role is open to both ECTs (induction supported) & FQTs.
This role will involve the full teaching expectations for planning, preparation & assessment as per a usual teaching role. Teachers not specialising in Science however with significant teaching experience in either subject are still encouraged to apply. There will likely be a tutor group responsibility in this role (year group, not vertical.) This is a full-time position and the school operate a 2-week timetable. The ability to teach, and be willing to teach other subjects may be an advantage.
The school are happy to consider candidates across MPS & UPS pay scales however, to be considered for UPS, you must be willing & able to take on departmental and other leadership duties.
This is a great secondary school to work at. Whilst a relatively small school, this carries the benefit that each member of staff knows pretty much every student. You'll be working with an experienced, collaborative and competent SLT so you will have good support throughout the school that has a large & successful MAT backing. This school has big ambitions for the future and is looking for someone to join, contribute to and share their journey, despite this being an interim role.
This is a permanent role and a standard recruitment process will be followed; to include an observed teaching lesson, panel interview and school show around. The school may engage the successful candidate on a trial contract basis (60 paid days) however hope to offer a permanent contract from the outset.
