Pay: £95.78 - £118.77 per day (£25,000 - £31,000 pa perm equivalent)
We are working with a well established, family-run Nursery based in Lyneham who have been operating since 2001. We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic manager with plenty of vision and energy to join our team and help move the setting from a term time only pre-school to a busy and successful all year-round birth to school age nursery and out of school club. We are looking for someone that shares their passion and with the experience of dealing with OFSTED and all the mandatory requirements of managing an Early Years Setting PLUS the enthusiasm and ideas to grow and develop this setting to sit alongside our busy and successful full day care nursery in Calne.
You will work as part of the Senior Management Team reporting to the Area Manager and Company Directors and the main tasks initially will involve growing occupancy, recruiting staff and expanding the new baby unit whilst also making sure the nursery is fully compliant and ready for OFSTED. You will be happy to take direction and guidance whilst also confident to work on your own, managing your team and setting on a daily basis. The successful candidate will be expected to spend time working in the rooms each week to model and teach quality practice and care. Excellent communication skills are vital to allow you to develop a partnership with parents, work closely with your staff team and also forge relationships with local schools, MOD Lyneham and the local community.
All applicants must be educated to minimum GCSE level with passes in four or more subjects, two of which should be English and Maths. Childcare qualified to a minimum Level 3 and fully trained in the Early Years Foundation Stage, safeguarding children, behaviour management and First Aid are essential qualifications. Leadership training, including how to manage people and staff development is desirable. Good verbal and written communication skills are a must.
This role is full time shifts between 7.30am - 6:00pm all year round or 9am - 4pm fixed shifts is possible. However part time would be considered for the right candidate. You must however be available to work all year around, not just school term time only.
