About the Role
As a Nursery Assistant, you will:
- Support children’s learning, play, and development in line with the EYFS framework
- Help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment
- Work collaboratively with nursery staff to meet the individual needs of each child
- Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing, and safeguarding at all times
What We’re Looking For
To be considered, candidates must have:
- Previous experience working with children (nursery or school-based experience essential)
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply (Elementa can assist)
- Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration in the appropriate category
Desirable qualifications:
- CACHE Level 2 or Level 3 (or equivalent childcare qualification)

- DBS Enhanced Disclosure (which may be chargeable at £64.20 unless you have a DBS subscribed to the Update Service)
- Successful completion of a 12-week / 60 paid day employment trial period
