About the role
Elementa Wales is seeking a qualified maths teacher who can build pupils’ confidence and problem-solving skills to work with schools across Caerphilly. This is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact while enjoying flexible work.
In this role, you will be responsible for planning and delivering effective mathematics lessons, assessing progress and supporting pupils to achieve their potential, ensuring pupils receive high-quality learning and support.
Key responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging mathematics lessons in line with the relevant curriculum.
Explain mathematical concepts clearly and adapt teaching for different abilities.
Assess pupil progress and provide clear, constructive feedback.
Manage classroom behaviour and work with colleagues to support achievement.
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Strong subject knowledge and experience teaching mathematics in a secondary school setting.
Effective classroom management, communication and organisational skills.
A positive, flexible and professional approach.
Desirable:
Experience supporting examination classes or pupils with additional learning needs. (beneficial but not essential).
