About the Role
Elementa Wales is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of Maths to work with schools across the Vale of Glamorgan. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Maths teacher looking to make a positive impact on pupils’ learning and development while enjoying flexible teaching opportunities.
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective Maths lessons, helping pupils develop their confidence and understanding of the subject, and ensuring they receive high-quality teaching and support.
Key Responsibilities
· Deliver engaging Maths lessons in line with the relevant curriculum.
· Plan and adapt lessons to support pupils of different abilities and learning needs.
· Manage classroom behaviour effectively and create a positive learning environment.
· Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing appropriate feedback and support.
· Work collaboratively with school staff to support pupil progress and achievement.
Requirements
· Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
· Experience teaching Maths at secondary school level.
· Strong knowledge of the Maths curriculum.
· Strong classroom management and communication skills.
· A positive, flexible and professional approach.
Desirable
· Experience teaching Maths across Key Stages 3 and 4, including supporting pupils towards GCSE examinations (beneficial but not essential).
