Learning Support Assistant (x3)
Type: Full-time, Open-ended contract (until further notice / possible permanent)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 830pm - 330pm
Dates: 01/09/2025 - until further notice / possible permanent contract
Location: North Somerset
Pay: £73.77 - £135.50 per day
This Learning Support Assistant opportunity is to work at a secondary school based in North Somerset. The school have 3 job opportunities and they would like someone to start on an open-ended basis but may consider successful applicants for a permanent post with the school after a trial period.
You'll be working within the Student Welfare Team in the schools 'Hub centre' which supports children that have additional learning needs with the schools' SEND team supporting learners with additional learning needs. From previous staff feedback, this is a great team and place to work at both for the colleagues that you'll be working with and the setting and resources you have at your disposal. The school have 3 vacancies and there are 2 grades of job role available (Grade 14 & Grade 13) which have slightly different responsibilities & respective salaries; the Grade 13 role being the role of greater responsibility and to work more cloeesly with the Hub teacher.
The ideal person with have an enthusiastic nature and good collaborative team-working skills from previous school-based support work with children.
The typical qualifications & skills we're looking for in someone include:
- NVQ CACHE Level 2 qualification (or equivalent)
- lieracy & numeracy (English & Maths) GCSE grade A* - C
- Good ICT skills
- Resilience & reliability
- good communication skills
- Good rapport (staff & students)
