Are you a fluent Welsh-speaking Higher Level Teaching Assistant looking to make a meaningful impact on children’s learning and development? Elementa Support Services is working in partnership with supportive and forward-thinking schools to recruit enthusiastic and skilled Welsh-speaking HLTAs who can deliver high-quality support across the curriculum, including through the medium of Welsh.

About the Role
As a Welsh-speaking HLTA, you will:
• Support teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum, including Welsh-medium provision
• Deliver learning activities and support pupils through the medium of Welsh
• Work with small groups and individual pupils to accelerate progress
• Support pupils’ emotional, social, and behavioural development (ELSA experience desirable)
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
• Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress effectively
• Promote safeguarding, wellbeing, and positive behaviour at all times
• Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the wider school community
What We’re Looking For
To be considered, candidates must have:
• Fluent Welsh language skills (spoken and written)
• Level 4 Teaching Assistant qualification
• Previous experience working with children in a school setting
• Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply (Elementa can assist)
Desirable:
• Experience as an ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant)
• Experience supporting pupils across Key Stages 1-4
• Strong communication, organisation, and classroom management skills
• Experience working in Welsh-medium or bilingual settings
