Elementa Support Services is working in partnership with a range of welcoming and supportive primary and secondary schools to recruit enthusiastic graduates for Teaching Assistant and Cover Supervisor roles. These positions provide an excellent opportunity to develop practical skills in education while earning a competitive daily rate and enjoying the flexibility to work around your future plans.

About the Role

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant or Cover Supervisor, you may:

• Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons
• Work with individual pupils and small groups to support learning and progress
• Assist pupils with additional learning needs, social development, and emotional wellbeing
• Build positive relationships with students and help create an inclusive learning environment
• Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring pupils remain engaged and on task
• Gain experience managing classroom behaviour and supporting positive learning attitudes
• Develop an understanding of the curriculum and day-to-day school life
• Work across a variety of schools, year groups, and subject areas


What We're Looking For

We welcome applications from graduates of all disciplines who:

• Hold a degree (or are due to graduate shortly)
• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Are confident, professional, and adaptable
• Enjoy working with young people and supporting their development
• Are considering a future career in teaching or education
• Can demonstrate initiative, resilience, and a positive attitude
• Have experience working with children or young people (desirable but not essential)


Essential Requirements

To work in schools in Wales, successful candidates must:

• Be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) as a Learning Support Worker or School Learning Support Worker (support available if you need to register)
• Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one through Elementa Support Services
• Have the right to work in the UK
• Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
