What You'll Be Doing
As a Graduate Cover Supervisor, you'll:
• Deliver pre-prepared lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher
• Keep pupils engaged, focused, and on task throughout the lesson
• Develop excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills
• Support pupils with their learning and encourage positive engagement
• Work across a range of subjects and year groups in supportive secondary schools
• Gain first-hand experience of school life from experienced teaching professionals
• Build the confidence and practical skills that PGCE providers value
No lesson planning or marking required—just enthusiasm, professionalism, and the confidence to lead a classroom.
Who We're Looking For

• Hold (or are due to achieve) a degree in any subject
• Are considering a career in teaching or education
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Are confident, organised, and resilient
• Enjoy working with young people
• Can think on their feet and adapt to different situations
• Have experience working with children or young people (desirable but not essential)

Essential Requirements
To work in schools across Wales, successful applicants must:
• Be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) in the appropriate category (Elementa can support you with the registration process)
• Hold a current Enhanced DBS Certificate registered with the DBS Update Service, or be willing to obtain one through Elementa
• Have the right to work in the UK
• Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
