Elementa Support Services is partnering with a well-established secondary academy in Weston-Super-Mare to recruit a dedicated Food Technology Teacher for a six-week contract. Our client prides itself on providing a supportive learning environment where students are encouraged to develop their skills and passion for Design and Technology. This exciting opportunity is suitable for qualified teachers (QTS/QTLS) with a background in Design Technology, particularly Food Technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum, fostering enthusiasm for the subject, and supporting the academic progress of pupils in a varied and dynamic setting.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS)
- Proven experience teaching Food Technology or Design Technology at secondary level
- An engaging approach to classroom management and lesson delivery
- The ability to adapt lessons to meet diverse learners’ needs
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of behaviour and student engagement
- Strong organisational skills and professionalism
