Our client, a dedicated education provider within a Post 16/Secondary Academy setting, is seeking a skilled Exams Officer to join their team on a permanent basis. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to an academically focused environment, supporting students through efficient examination operations.
About the Role
Based in Kingswood, South Gloucestershire, the successful candidate will oversee the smooth running of examinations across multiple levels, ensuring compliance with exam board regulations and JCQ guidance. As part of a highly experienced team, you will play a key role in managing the logistical complexities of certification processes for both GCSEs and A-levels.
What You Will Bring
- Up-to-date knowledge of exam board rules, specifications, JCQ guidance, and relevant legislation, with demonstrated ability to interpret and apply these in practical settings. - Qualification at NVQ level 4 in Business and Administration, or equivalent, evidencing your organisational competence. - Excellent interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to communicate effectively across different levels of the organisation. - Exceptional organisational and time-management skills, capable of managing multiple exams and deadlines efficiently. - Calmness under pressure, handling unexpected circumstances with professionalism and tact. - A caring, understanding attitude that respects and responds to students’ diverse needs and sensitivities. - Extensive experience as an Exams Officer, ideally within a secondary education context, managing a broad range of examination types and awards across KS4 and KS5.
