Our client is a popular Secondary school located in the Highbridge area of Somerset, a large co-educational school, they are looking for a confident and enthusiastic Teacher of English to join the team, you must hold UK QTS and be able to teach across the full age and ability range. This is a full teaching role, including planning and marking, teaching across Key stages 3 & 4. Initially the contract will until the Easter break, but may well continue to the end of the academic year.
About the Role
As an English Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the education of young learners. You will be responsible for delivering engaging English lessons that inspire students and enhance their language skills. The ideal candidate will bring a solid background in English along with the necessary teaching qualifications (QTS/QTLS), ensuring the delivery of the National Curriculum effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality English lessons to students in a Secondary Academy setting.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs.
- Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to support their growth.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and engagement.
- Collaborate with staff to promote best practices in teaching and learning.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS).
- Proven experience as an English Teacher with a strong knowledge of the English curriculum.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to teaching.
Contract & recruitment information
