Easter HAF Holiday Scheme workers
Location: Weston Super Mare
Hours: 9:30am - 3:30pm
Working days: Tuesday 9th April - Friday 12th April (inclusive)
Elementa are running the government-funded HAF Scheme (Holidays, Activities & Food) again this Easter 2024 based on the great success of having run the scheme on previous years. The HAF scheme (Holidays, Activities, Food) is targeted at supporting children and families from less fortunate backgrounds, ensuring they are engaged in meaningful activities and receive good food during the holidays as well.
We are looking for staff to work with children taking part in the activities who are also willing to take part in the activities and help to create a positive environment.
What we're looking for:
- you must have previous experience of having worked with children
- experience of having worked with children that have SEND particularly SEMH is highly desirable
- you must be available for the dates of the scheme
- you must have a clear DBS Enhanced Disclosure (child workforce) currently subscribed to the update service OR be willing to apply & pay £53.20 for a new DBS Enhanced Disclosure (priority will be given to applicants with a DBS subscribed to the update service)
- be able to attend an induction meeting
At the induction meeting you'll be given a timetable with full details of the plan and will be run through what you need to know and you can ask questions too.

- The scheme is being run from a base in Weston Super Mare.
- There is plenty of free parking in the surrounding roads or it's about a 15 minute walk from Weston Super Mare main station
- The scheme runs from Tuesday 9th April to Friday 12th April
- The working hours are: 9:30am - 3:30pm.
- Generally it's 1:2 (2 kids to 1 adult) but possibly 1:1 depending on a childs' need
- You will be doing fun activities along the lines of outdoor picnics, beach excursions, indoor games, crafts, museum visits, outdoor education (some of this is weather dependent & the overall finalised programme is still TBC)
