Elementa is recruiting for a Deputy Programme Lead of Maths for this popular Secondary School in Weston-super-Mare. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity for an experienced and motivated Maths professional looking to take the next step in their leadership career.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the leadership and development of the Maths department, contributing to high-quality teaching, curriculum planning, and student achievement.
Key Responsibilities

Support the Programme Lead in the leadership and management of the Maths department.

Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Maths lessons across Key Stages.

Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing effective feedback and intervention strategies.

Contribute to curriculum development and assessment planning within the department.

Mentor and support colleagues to promote high standards of teaching and learning.

Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

Work collaboratively with senior leaders and departmental staff to drive continuous improvement.

Keep up to date with developments in the Maths curriculum and implement innovative teaching approaches.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will possess the following:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS).

Proven experience teaching Maths at secondary level.

Experience in, or readiness for, a leadership or management role within a department.

Strong subject knowledge and passion for Mathematics education.

Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.

A commitment to raising standards and inspiring students.
