This popular and well-respected 11-16 secondary school is seeking a Deputy Faculty Leader for English to support the SLT to work alongside an experienced Faculty Leader and the supportive, dedicated and growing team of English teachers to impact the life chances of students. This school have achieved 'Good' in their last 2 Ofsted inspections which is testament to the hard-working academy staff and supportive MAT. As such the school is now one of the most improved schools in Swindon in recent years. The school have a very diverse student demographic and as such have a particularly expansive and inclusive offering for their student cohort. The school is part of a widespread MAT which are very well established and with a good track record across all of their schools.
The school are looking for a conscientious, dedicated Deputy Faculty Leader who has excellent subject knowledge, a passion for English literature and language and the ability to enthuse students and staff into continuous improvement.
The Deputy Faculty Leader needs to be someone who:
- is a dynamic teacher with high expectations and a commitment to improvement
- has a clear vision, energy and commitment to all aspects of school life
- is a well-qualified, excellent English teacher with some experience of curriculum development
- would act as a model of our values of drive, integrity, scholarship and contribution
