About the role
Elementa Wales is seeking a qualified drama teacher who can encourage creativity, confidence and collaboration to work with a school in the heart of the Vale of Glamorgan. This is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact while enjoying flexible work.
In this role, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging drama lessons, leading practical activities and supporting pupils’ creative development, ensuring pupils receive high-quality learning and support.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver practical and theory-based drama lessons in line with the curriculum.
- Create a safe, inclusive environment for performance and creative exploration.
- Assess pupil progress and provide clear, constructive feedback.
- Manage classroom behaviour and contribute to wider creative opportunities.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Strong drama subject knowledge and experience teaching in a secondary school setting.
- Effective classroom management, communication and organisational skills.
A positive, flexible and professional approach.
Desirable:
- Experience supporting school productions, examination performances or technical theatre. (beneficial but not essential).
