Currently, we are recruiting a Cover Supervisor to join a well-established secondary academy in Weston-Super-Mare, North Somerset. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced instructor or cover supervisor with a background in secondary education to make a meaningful contribution to a dedicated team.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience as a Cover Supervisor or Instructor within secondary education
- Strong classroom management skills
- Ability to cover a range of subjects with confidence
- Flexible, professional, and approachable manner
- Commitment to maintaining a positive and disciplined learning environment
- Prepared to undertake required vetting & compliance checks
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising and managing classes in the absence of a regular teacher
- Maintaining an orderly classroom environment to support student learning
- Following lesson plans provided by teachers (where applicable)
- Ensuring the wellbeing and safety of all students during lessons
- Reporting on student behaviour and progress as required
Contract & recruitment information
