Elementa is recruiting for a Teacher of Art for a popular secondary school in the Kingswood area of Bristol, for a November 2024 start. If you are a passionate and qualified Art Teacher with experience in AQA Art & Photography, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity. You will be joining a lively, fun and dynamic department, where your creativity and passion for the subject are encouraged to shine. The department is responsible for Art and Design, Fine Art and photography, which sees an increasing number of students sign up each year.
Your role will be to support and challenge students to reach their full potential within the subject and to increase their confidence and knowledge, to help achieve success within the subject.
You will need to be creative, innovative and tactile with your approach. Experience of teaching art, as well as graphics and photography would be ideal and you should be proficient in IT, and have a working understanding of Photoshop and ideally Illustrator.
Responsibilities to include:
- Teaching across Key Stages 3&4
- Maintaining up-to-date subject knowledge
- Lesson planning and delivery of engaging and inspiring lessons
- Assessments and statutory reporting requirements for parents and carers
Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate should have experience as a Teacher (QTS / QTLS) with a background in Art and Photography, and a DBS subscribed to the update service.
