Elementa Support Services is working in partnership with a supportive and inclusive school to recruit dedicated ALN Teaching Assistants in Caerphilly. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of pupils who require additional support to access their education.
About the Role
As an ALN Teaching Assistant, you will:
• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional learning needs
• Build positive, trusting relationships with students to support their development and wellbeing
• Assist in managing behaviour and promoting positive engagement strategies
• Support students to access learning activities and stay focused
• Work closely with teachers, ALNCOs, and pastoral teams to implement individual support plans
• Help create a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment
About You
The ideal candidate will:
• Have experience working with children or young people with ALN, behavioural needs, or additional support needs (desirable but not essential)
• Be calm, patient, and resilient in challenging situations
• Have strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Be able to set clear boundaries while remaining supportive and understanding
• Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of children
• Be adaptable and open to learning new strategies and approaches

• Weekly pay – no waiting for monthly payroll cut-off dates; Elementa pays one week in lieu
