Elementa is recruiting for a Behaviour Mentor at a specialist provision in the Gloucester, the school supports secondary age students that need support with social emotional mental health (SEMH), amongst other additional needs. The school can be a challenging place to work, so previous experience of working in a similar environment, or relevant experience working with challenging behaviours. The role itself is supporting a year 11 student with complex needs and often displays erratic behaviours, you will be supporting the learner in class for the morning, then do activities in the afternoon that may include, football, gym, and other outdoor based programmes.
The ideal person for this role will have experience of 1:1 support for secondary age learners, a sporting background, and it will be essential that you can drive and have business insurance, as the role does involve driving the student to the afternoon activities.
